Cannibal [Peculiar]

Cannibalism: Using your own collection of sounds to make something new, something peculiar in this case, out of it.

A different version (with some minimal percussion) is now up on Soundcloud.

I am enjoying cannibalism a lot lately. but I guess you mean more the music aspect wink great atmospheric track!

I do this once in a while, myself... go picking through older files and pulling sounds I used out from a variety of them to see what I can put together as a frankenstein monster as the result. This is a great track.

wonderful deep piece!

love the ambience in this and the way the reverb/delay creates a giant space.  Nice track!

Cheers mate!
I'm actually in the process of building a sample library of my own sounds (well over 20GB by now), so the basis for this tune is actually pre-existing material that has never been used in a track.
I do pick apart the elements/stems of finished tracks too though, add them to the library for later use, for instance for film scores when I don't have enough time to create sounds from scratch.

Cheers guys! Be sure to check out a mildly different version including a bit of (gasp!) percussion here and let me know what you think!

Love the source clean-guitar sound - and the plodding feel, like a dream sequence in extreme slow motion.

Fantastic sounscaping...like the labradford-ish guitars punctuating things here and there...
